Experience Downtown Red Deer
The Red Deer Downtown Business Association works as a catalyst for a vibrant and prosperous downtown that is the place to live, work, play and do business. Our work is focused in the areas of:
- Advocacy & Influence: We act as a representative, liaison and resource to downtown businesses. We are actively involved in initiatives that support and promote downtown.
- Spaces & Places: We work to make downtown clean, safe and attractive.
- Image & Awareness: We develop and facilitate a variety of special events and marketing projects to attract and retain visitors and promote downtown.
Downtown is constantly changing. New construction abounds - this summer (2010) we'll see the parkade completed and construction on Veterans' Plaza begin. Construction of the new RCMP station is expected to be completed by late 2010 and downtown's first Class 'A' office tower is scheduled to be completed in the summer/fall. This is not the downtown you remember!
While these are major changes that affect the skyline downtown, things continue to grow inside the buildings with new businesses and new events and happenings popping up everywhere.
