Marvel College, in downtown Red Deer, is welcoming everyone to book an appointment for a hair or spa service on Saturday December 4. All proceeds from services on the 4th will be donated to the Red Deer Christmas Bureau. A prize wheel will also be on site, for your chance to spin for free services and products in addtion to a grand prize giveaway of a spa day for two. Enjoy a hot, buffet-style breakfast, Christmas crafts, carol singing and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Hub is hosting a benefit concert for Loaves and Fishes on Friday December 10 at 7:00 pm. The spectacular lineup features some of Central Alberta's most talented musicians, including Donna Durand, Steve Fisher & Friends, Back Porch Swing, The June Bugs, Anna Somerville & Friends, Ruth Henderson, Justine Vander Grift and more. Tickets are only $10 plus one non-perishable food item for the food bank. Come on down and see some of Central Alberta's best talent, and support a great cause.
On Saturday December 11, the children's department of the Red Deer Public Library is hosting the Festival of Lights. This event is a multicultural celebration that will have Christmas activities from India, Russia, Sweden, Mexico, England and more. Singing, dancing and ethnic snacks will be on hand. This event is co-sponsored by the library and the Central Alberta Refugee Effort's CARE Club.

BULL SKIT! 2 Nights of Comedy Christmas Edition
The monthly comedy show is back again for another month of sketches, improv and music. Wishing you all the best for a happy healthy holiday season. Keep those abs tight by laughter and come see our holiday themed Bull Skit, celebrities, caroling and tons of Christmas cheer to go around. Vote on your favorite sketch and give us ideas for even funnier sketches. Your host this month is the hilarious female comic Aimée Beaudoin from Caution May Contain Nuts.
The Red Deer Cabaret will be hosting its Christmas Spectacular on the weekend of December 17 and 18. The Cabaret is held twice nightly, and for the first time, will be having catered dinners prior to the early show. As always, expect a night of music, side-splitting comedy and acts of wonder! The performance lineup includes host Chris Cook and the dancing Cabarettes and special guests Justine from Guys in Disguise, vocalist Mandy McKee and the Amazing Acrobatics (Kyle Haley and Kelsey Haley)

La Casa Pergola's event, on Tuesday, December 21 from 5 to 9 is a customer appreciation event with a twist. In addition to the munchies, mulled wine, and drink specials, Santa Claus will be there. Celebrate the Christmas season by wearing red and white, and bringing along an unwrapped gift for a child under sixteen. Santa will be making deliveries to to the Ronald McDonald House. Donations are accepted between December 1 and 21.
Head on over to The Hub on New Year's Day at 6 pm for an eclectic mix of Afghan folk, Indian classical and Western music offered in partnership between The Hub on Ross and the Central Alberta Diversity Association, sponsored by King Donair.
