The Downtown Business Association operates a weekly Downtown Market. To increase our exposure and get people on the street the City has agreed to assist us in closing Little Gaetz Avenue between Ross (50th) and 49th Street. This will leave the parking lot that we were in open for the public. This market makes fresh food available on Wednesday evenings, from 4-7 pm. The Downtown Market hosts Central Albertan food producers, selling their fruit, vegetables, meat, baking and more! The Downtown Market began operations last summer, and we witnessed growing interest and attendance as the summer went on. We are happy that we can offer a mid week alternative to big box shopping, and are pleased that we are helping Central Alberta's local producers find new customers every week. This year's market will begin May 30th and will go to October 3th. We hope to see you there!

We have been getting phone calls regarding the Saturday Market, which is run totally separate from the Downtown Market. For details on it please contact Dennis Moffatt at (403)-346-6443.
