Since opening his practice in 1974, Dr. Garry Didrikson has been helping people take charge of their health. At that time, Garry was one of the few chiropractors in Red Deer, and was very pleased to move back to Red Deer after having an academic career that took him to Edmonton, Toronto, and even to the United States. “Red Deer is home” claims Garry, an active volunteer and member of the community.
“I am proud to be a part of the A Associated Health and Wellness Group. We are more than just a chiropractic office” claims Garry, and he truly means it. A Associated Health and Wellness is a center where Garry and his Associates, use a variety of medical fields such as chiropractic, Acupuncture, custom orthotics, massage therapy, homeopathic nutrition, hair analysis and ph tests, and Ideal Protein, a weight management program.
Dr. Didrikson has had his practice for almost 40 years, and has his office in a 106 year old building located at 5415 49th Avenue. In that time, he has helped hundreds of clients by encouraging a healthy lifestyle. His passion is to be active and healthy, and he loves to share that with his clients. “We love working with people, and helping them feel better, and learn how to take better care of themselves” says Dr. Didrikson.
Their Spinal Decompression Therapy is a unique system that is difficult to find in Central Alberta. It is a machine that aligns the spine by pulling it back in place rather than pushing. It is a very gentle procedure.

Didrikson’s associate, Laura Young, of Hands, Heart and Spirit Healing undertakes a variety of energy therapies and other natural healing methods to assist in the healing process of her clients. She uses Quantum Touch, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, Su Jok Reflexology, and Ear Candling as a way to help the body heal on all levels. Laura’s office is located in the cozy attic of the A Associated Health and Wellness Group building.
