DOSE Coffee & Love Providing Premium CoffeeTue Jan 17, 2012

DOSE Coffee & Love has opened up on the second floor of Sunworks at 4924 50th (Ross) Street. DOSE is not just any old coffee shop. You won’t find pots filled with generic coffee. What you will find, is owners Rolland Forsland and Alison McCracken using the “pour over” method of coffee making, involving hand grinding the best, most fresh beans, and hand pouring the heated water directly over the bean. Experience Downtown Red Deer

The Red Deer Downtown Business Association works as a catalyst for a vibrant and prosperous downtown that is the place to live, work, play and do business.  Our work is focused in the areas of:

Downtown is constantly changing. New construction abounds - this summer (2010) we saw the completion of the brand new Sorensen Station bus terminal and parkade.  We witnessed the progress on Red Deer's first Class 'A' office tower, Executive Place.  And we have witnessed the beginning of construction of the new RCMP station and the updated Veterans' Park.  This is not the downtown you remember!

While these are major changes that affect the skyline downtown, things continue to grow inside the buildings with new businesses and new events and happenings popping up everywhere, and thousands of new people get to experience the culture, unique atmosphere, and most importantly the friendliness of downtown Red Deer.

This summer, we saw thousands of people from Red Deer and beyond flock to the downtown to witness the festivals and attractions that have came to town.  We witnessed the birth of a wildly successful cultural event, Fiestaval.  We experienced the pride and cultural identity by hosting dozens of cultural events for Alberta Arts Days.  We saw record breaking attendance with CentreFest 2010.  And we have welcomed dozens of new businesses and organizations to the downtown, including Red Deer College, who will be bringing the Donald School of Business downtown in 2011.

Our website is the place to find out what's new and what's happening. We welcome your comments, ideas, additions or corrections, please share them - info@downtownredder.com

We invite you to cruise around our website and, of course, c'mon downtown!!

Red Deer's Greater Downtown Action Plan received an Award of Distinction from the International Downtown Association (IDA) in the category of Planning.
