With the dropping temperatures and falling snow, it is important to recognize the importance of removing the snow and ice from the sidewalks in front of your business. Walking around the downtown is easier and more enjoyable when all businesses have clean sidewalks.

The City of Red Deer has decided to bump up scheduled completion of the Gaetz Avenue Revitalization. In the 2012 Capital Budget discussions, City Council decided to complete phase 2 of construction in 2012 rather than 2013 as originally planned.

Art from the Streets has undertaken a fundraiser that will help them raise thousands of dollars to go towards operation costs and supplies to keep the program sustainable.   A number of local artists have allowed their works to be displayed in the first Art from the Streets calendar.  The calendar is being sold for $20, and features stunning work from local artists.  Art from the Streets is also always accepting donations of art supplies, and would like to invite you to check out their new website, www.artfromthestreets.ca.
