Featured Vendors: Suto Farms and Pursuit Adventures

Featured Vendors

Last week we had a chance to catch up with two more of our seasonal vendors, Suto Farms and Pursuit Adventures. Here is a summary of their interviews.

Suto Farms

How did you start your business?

It started with my Parents back in the 70’s.

What kind of products do you sell?

We sell everything fruits, veggies, we have a fruit farm in Oliver and a vegetable farm in Aridrie, Alberta.

What is your “must try” product?

Probably our Peaches and cherries

What makes you unique?

It’s a family run operation.

What is your favourite thing to sell?

I don’t have any favourites; I like selling everything.

Can you find your product anywhere else?

No, just at farmers markets

Do you attend any other markets?

We do a few different markets during the week.

How did you hear about the Downtown Red Deer Market?

We’ve been here ever since the beginning, since day one.

What is your favourite thing about being in Downtown Red Deer?

Its unique, the people are friendly, we get a nice crowd, they appreciate us and we appreciate them.

Pursuit Adventures

How did you start your business?

We started about 10 years ago as a ski bus, we added on hiking tours and snowshoe tours and we added on the popsicle food sales as we went and it just kind of snowballed.

What kind of products do you sell?

At the market we sell our homemade marshmallows and our homemade popsicles. So we have lots of different flavours

What is your “must try” product?

The popsicles for sure, but honestly everything.

What makes you unique?

The fact that everything is in-house, we make all of our own food, all of the tours are run by us and we just have a real passion for getting people outside.

What is your favourite thing to sell?

That’s a tough question, I really like selling our tours and having the tours run, but I also like having the popsicles go over so well.

Can you find your product anywhere else?

We have a café in Capstone, we face Body Basics, and we are there Monday to Friday.

Do you attend any other markets?

Yup, this year we did the Saturday Red Deer Market, the Bentley Market, Clearwater Farmers Market, the Market on Main in Rocky and this one.

How did you hear about the Downtown Red Deer Market?

We used to be a business Downtown and we’ve kind of been a part of the martket close to its beginning, since its been on Little Gaetz anyways.

What is your favourite thing about being in Downtown Red Deer?

The fact that we’re trying to get people outside and doing things on the streets again.

Be sure to check out Suto Farms and Pursuit Adventures at this weeks market from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m!
